Okay, my absolute favorite things! First: music. It’s my whole mood. I love discovering indie artists from the Baltics and Scandinavia. My playlist can go from dreamy Estonian folk-pop to energetic Finnish rock in a second. Second: nature. Nothing recharges me like a long walk in a bog (yes, a bog! They’re magical here) or a swim in the Baltic Sea in summer. Third: creating stuff. Whether it’s drawing on my tablet, taking photos on film, or making cute latte art at work, I have to be making something. Oh, and late-night talks with friends about life, dreams, and silly memes. And salted black licorice – it’s a Nordic thing, don’t judge!

My secret dream: I’d love to combine my art and love for nature somehow. Maybe study environmental design or something abroad in a year or two. My current obsession: Learning to knit (my grandma is teaching me) and trying to make the perfect cinnamon roll. Life motto right now: "Ära kartke" – it’s Estonian for "Don’t be afraid." Trying to live by that!

Hey! I'm Jeanie, and I'm 18 years old. I was born and raised in Tallinn, Estonia. I love my country – it’s this beautiful mix of medieval charm and super modern tech, just like my interests, I guess! My dad lives in Finland, so I visit him during holidays and my Finnish is almost as good as my Estonian and English. I just finished high school last spring and I’m taking a gap year to figure things out. Right now, I’m working part-time at a cozy café in the Old Town and saving up for travels. I’m also super into digital art and photography, so my Instagram is basically a love letter to Estonian forests, our weirdly beautiful grey skies, and iced coffee.

Ugh, let’s vent for a second. I really don’t like pretentious people. You know, those who try too hard to look cool and put others down. So draining. I’m not a fan of winter darkness in November and December – it gets so gloomy and you just want to hibernate. Rudeness for no reason – a little kindness costs nothing! Also, being pressured to have my whole life figured out right now. I’m 18, let me breathe a little! And lastly, slow internet – it’s a tragedy, especially when I’m uploading my art or trying to watch a movie.
